Excellent post Jan. My wife does most of what you suggest. It allows me to keep the thermostat low for the rest of the house. I keep warm with out any of this, but by keeping my wife warm we both are happier. thanks Energy Boomer

Nice post
Everyone can save money in small and seemingly insignificant areas if you know how and where to do it.
These are all great ideas
Great tips! I’ll be coming back to learn more about saving money!

Those are some great products to hang up clothes to dry. The cost may be a problem for people who are trying to save money, but for those who have the money and are concerned about the environment, it would be worth the cost.

I purchased a ceiling mounted drying rack about 4 months ago and I have seen a big saving in my utility bills. Since I have stopped using my electric dryer to dry my laundry my utility bills have been reduced by about 5% which is great!! I got my drying rack from http://www.urbanclotheslines.com who seemed to have a good selectio to choose from. If we all did a little bit around the home with things like a drying rack or clothesline average people can make a difference.

This is a great idea. It's great seeing a different way to save energy. The next time I groom my dog, I will definately take it outside. Another great reason for grooming your dog outside is that you'll have a lot more natural lighting! :)

You are right Jan, if I'd loose a few dozen pounds I'd save on fuel, food and pills.

Thanks for the great post.

We love dogs and have been stuck with our kids cats from time to time. You are right about pet hair costing energy. It plugs up furnace/AC filters, clogs the coils on the back of refrigerators and certainly causes extra house work. I think cat hair is the worst. Great post Jan
