As I dragged out the vacuum cleaner again, I cringed as I thought about the effect on my electric bill. I had gotten busy/lazy with grooming the dogs and cats. Whisk BroomsIf you are looking for a way to get pet hair off of your carpeted stairs, then a whisk broom may be just what you are after. Essentially this is a broom that is made out of straw, so it is easy to understand why this would work so well on pet hair. Of course, it will work anywhere around the house that you would like to use it at but many people simply rave over how well it works to remove cat hair from their stairs. The reason why it works so well is because straw is rough and when you brush something with straw it picks up static electricity, thus making it easier to capture runaway pet hair.
